D.M. Consunji, Inc. (DMCI), the construction arm of DMCI Holdings, Inc. (PSE: DMC), was awarded building and water projects worth P2.9 billion during the first quarter of 2016, bringing its total order book to P30 billion.

Among its newly­signed projects is City Gate, a mixed­use development of Ayala Land in the Makati Central Business District, a 50ML water reservoir in Quezon City and a 2X23MW gas turbine plant in Batangas.

Meanwhile, major ongoing projects include Metro Manila Skyway Stage 3, civil works for LRT Line 2 East, and the Areté of Ateneo de Manila University.

The NAIA Expressway Package 2A (from Macapagal Avenue to Terminals 1 and 2) and 2B (MIA Road to Terminal 3) are expected to be completed by June 2016 and before year­end, respectively.

“We look forward to the infrastructure program of the new administration. A lot needs to be done to enhance the mass transport system, road network, flood control system and tourism infrastructure of our country. Hopefully, more publicprivate partnerships will be awarded and implemented within the next six years,” said DMCI President Jorge A. Consunji.
